LSN_Sparkli_Fancy Fairy_WEBFor little girls there is just something magical about makeup. Without fail, every time I am putting on my makeup I will get requests from at least one of my girls (if not both) to let them have some makeup on as well.

Now, I know that little girls wearing makeup can be a touchy subject. We have rules about it ourselves and while every family needs to come up with their own guidelines, here’s a list of the current “Makeup Rules” at our house: 1) Kids NEVER get free reign to play in mom’s (fairly expensive) cosmetics; 2) No kids wearing makeup out of the house unless it’s a costume party or Halloween; 3) Mom handles all makeup application until you’re old enough to not poke your own eye out.

Luna Star Naturals eye shadowPretty simple so far, but with a 3-year-old and 6-year-old these rules work for us. Because of Rule #1 I was excited to get the opportunity to try out Luna Star Naturals with my girls.

With fun colors and coordinating kits I knew that the play makeup kits from Luna Star Naturals would be a hit with my girls. As the mom in the equation though, I was appreciative of the fact that their makeup is all natural and contains no synthetic ingredients (except for their nail polish which contains an inert plastic material necessary to form a coat on fingernails).

Happy sparkle Luna Star Naturals facesThey also craft all of their products in the USA or Canada, so I don’t have to worry about any hidden surprises. Remember a couple years back when they were finding lead paint in all those kids toys that were made in China? Yeah, that’s why I won’t buy any made in China makeup for my kids (let alone for my kids with sensitive skin).

We tried the Fancy Fairy Kit with its Midnight Blue Eyeshadow, Very Violet Eyeshadow, Fairy Dust Blush, and Bubble Gum Shimmer Lipbalm. My girls were squirmy and giggling the whole time we played “Makeup Party.”  With many more weeks of frigid winter temps to look forward to I’m sure my girls and I will be having quite a few Girls Night In Makeup Parties with our Luna Star Naturals kits.

Cute girls! My daughter likes make up too, she likes her nails and toe nails paint, eyes shadow, lipstick and shiny powder! I like to do a (homemade) beauty treatment once a month with her we watch our face and put avocado facial mask, pedicure and manicure and a little bit of make up. She loves it! I would like to try the sparkle fairy kit.
