little weedz :: clothes that grow {giveaway}

On the 11th day of Christmas, SIMPLE gave to me… an adorable skirt from Little Weedz!

I may have just been introduced to the COOLEST skirt ever! It’s from Little Weedz and it just rocks!  Why does it rock you may ask?  It SERIOUSLY has the ability to grow with my child.  Yes, that’s correct.  GROW!  Now, onto my post.

If you are anything like me, I love to have things that are super cute, however I don’t like to spend the big bucks because kids grow out of clothes so fast.  Well here is a piece that you can pick up for a wonderful price considering the amount of time that it will be worn.  I would say this skirt can probably be work 1.5-2 years!  Have you ever heard of such a thing?

There is a corset on the side that can be loosened and tightened.  And underneath the corset is a flap of fabric so there will be NO bare skin as the kiddos are growing!  Such a little thing, but such an important thing! The other feature I want to mention is the additional flap of fabric that can be attached as the child grows, making the skirt longer!  Oh yah!

The details on this piece of clothing are outstanding.  From the moment I opened the box, the colors and details got me.  Stunning!

This company is only a year old, but I am convinced that they will last a lot longer.  I have never seen a product like this before, and everyone that I tell about it can’t believe someone didn’t think of this sooner.  It’s genius!

“…my dresses grow, they do this by expanding in all areas of the child’s body, not just one. I have additional buttons at the shoulder for underarm expansion. The chest or waist expand either with corseting, elastic, ties, or snaps (depending upon the design), and all dresses and skirts have a snap on extension that is added as the child grows taller. Using all of these expansion options the garment grows 1 full size and can last up to 2 years.

There are also skirts and coordinating doll clothes for bigger girls too!  These items will be featured in the Spring/Summer of 2012, but in the meantime, head on over and check them out!  Perfect timing for Christmas gifts if you ask me!

The skirts and dresses come in toddler sizes, ages 1-5; there are also skirts with 18” doll coordinates for bigger girls ages 5-10.

You know me, I love the stories behind the companies, and Little Weedz has that!  Head on over to her site and take a look around!
