I do not know where time has gone, but our “baby” Charlie is turning 1 in a few short weeks. Seems like just yesterday I was so miserably pregnant and huge. I hope to never carry a 9+ pound baby again, but at least I know I can do it. Even though he is our 3rd child, I’m still always in search of the perfect age appropriate toys. We received the Toddler Special Delivery (age 1) from Little Pnuts and it was quite exciting for all of us when we opened it. What was going to be inside?
The first toy is the HABA My First Blocks set. It’s colorful, safe for a 1 year old to chew on, acoustic (bell in block), visual (mirror on block), and it’s great for those developing motor skills as they learn to build things. Not only did our nearly 1 year old enjoy it, but big brother and sister (6 and 4) have logged quite a bit of time playing with the blocks too.
The second toy in the boy was the Janad Zoo Animal Chunky Puzzle. It’s just enough pieces to be fun, but not too many to have to pick up later. I love Charlie’s chunky fingers wrapped around his new puzzle. This puzzle will grow with him too, the pieces are colored to match the background color of the board. The puzzle pieces are cute animals that are fun to play with by themselves too.
The third toy in our package was a Plan Toys Pineapple Maraca. What kid doesn’t like to bang and rattle things? It reminded me of a Kindermusik egg they use to teach rhythm and make music. It’s a nice soft rattle too, not obnoxious. I was almost quiet enough for us to sit in the back of church and play with it the other day, but not quite. It’s been a nice toy for him to hold when he’s in his swing and needs something to play with. It’s a cute too, looks like a wooden pineapple.
Every quarter, Little Pnuts goes in search of toys that will match those developmental milestones your precious peanut is making. You pick the age appropriate box and decide if you want an annual or monthly subscription that will include 3-5 toys every quarter. If you think about it, they are hitting a new milestone every few months, their toys need to grow with them.
