limelite technologies :: night light :: 3 cents a year :: review + giveaway

nite lite reviewHopefully you don’t live with a penny pincher who follows you around the house shutting off lights. I am all about saving money, but I’m not going to be on the next episode of Extreme Cheapskate. I actually loath bending over to turn off the kid’s night lights in the morning. I dislike it so much that I’ve tried to train the kids to do it, gotten sensor lights, or just let it stay on for the day. I was given the LimeLite Nite Lite to try out. I don’t want to embarrass a certain nearly 7 year old, but unlike his younger sister, he likes a light on at night. This nite lite has been perfect in our boy’s room.

There are a few major reasons I’m really happy with this light:

  1. It costs 3 cents {PER YEAR} to operate this light 24 hours a day/ 7 days per week.
  2. It fits snug against the wall and doesn’t tempt any curious fingers from pulling it out (our 1 year old).
  3. It doesn’t get hot if our baby does happen to touch the glowing green light.
  4. It’s not a harsh light.

If you follow any of my posts, you know I love to save money. Boom! Love the product for how cheap it is ($5.95) and it’s efficient to operate. Granted an LED night light costs about 7 cents a year, but 3 cents is more then half of that! If you use a good ol’ fashioned light bulb you are spending $6 a year. Stop laughing, a penny saved is a penny earned!

The real greatness of this nite lite is the safety and comfort it brings to your home. It doesn’t get hot, it fits in our outlet much like a plug protector, and it casts the perfect amount of light to illuminate a hallway or keep monsters away. I was pleasantly surprised that the softer glow was enough for our child that needs a night light. I feel like we are going to get him to a point where he can sleep without one in the near future.

“[LimeLite Technologies] has bridged the gap between a safe product and low-cost, energy-efficient, safe passage lighting….  These nightlights virtually eliminate the causes of more then 95% of all nightlight incidents reported, such as fires, electrical shock and falls due to poor visibility.”

    I like that you can just leave it on all the time. We use a nightlight in our bathroom so we can see our way at night, and I feel like I am the only one always turning it on and off. Not that it’s such a big deal (LOL) but it would be nice to have just one less thing to do 🙂
