This year we decided to start my daughter in piano lessons. She loves music and has a keyboard that she loves to tinker with. But for a variety of reasons, piano lessons didn’t work out for her. Her instructor moved too quickly for her and we were constantly rushing after school to get to piano. Then the boys and I would sit in the car for the 30 minutes of her lesson. When the teacher decided that her teaching style wasn’t a good fit for my daughter, I decided to find something that would work better for her and for our family. We have found that the lessons are perfect for my elementary age daughter. In fact, I’m going to start my 7-year-old son on the program as well. Since it can be done from home, we are able to complete the lessons without blocking off huge chunks of time to drive to lessons and without the cost of lessons. And Hoffman Academy lessons are all taught by Master of Music Joseph Hoffman who has worked for years to develop his own method of teaching piano. And at 5-10 minutes each, my fidgety kids are able to stay focused easily on the lessons. Lessons include playing the piano as well as completing practice worksheets to work on rhythm, sight reading and other important skills.

My mom has attempted to teach her but she would lose interest within 10 minutes! Plus dd doesn’t take well to being corrected well when SHE thinks she is doing it right! LOL
