knocked-up-logoI love my mommy body… The little bit of loose skin and few stretch marks around my belly are tangible reminders of a wonderful 9 months. Those 9 months are the closest that I will ever be to my little man. I would never trade them for anything, even if my body is never quite the same as before pregnancy.

It is a woman who can live with only a few hours of sleep and still function (barely) the next day. It is the woman whose hug is the only thing that will comfort her sweet baby like no one else can. It is the woman who can hold a 18lb baby for more than an hour while trying to get him to sleep (I’ve had macho men start to get sore after just a few minutes!). It is the woman who’s body is so amazing that it can sustain life for 9 months PLUS nourish life afterwards while breastfeeding.  A woman’s body is incredible… a true miracle!

I may love my “mommy body” and everything it stands for, but I also want to take care of it and feel great too! Just because I am comfortable in my skin, doesn’t mean that I do not want to do everything I can to get it back in shape. This is where Knocked-Up Fitness comes in!

    We are trying to get pregnant and I think this would be great for me! It will be our first, so I’m not sure on what is or is not okay for exercise.

    I like the central Pilates-based philosophy: the stronger your core and deep muscles are, the stronger the rest of you will be. Totally makes sense to me.
