#aSIMPLEchristmas :: zip-up for a good night’s sleep with kids zip sheets

Have yourself a Merry SIMPLE Christmas
My husband and I often comment to each other how absolutely lucky we are when it comes to putting our kids to bed. They have their routine and, besides the occasional “one last trip to the potty”, once they are in bed, they stay there until morning. Again, we completely understand how fortunate we are with this!

But that doesn’t mean we are without our kid-sleep issues…

Confession :: My son is 3 1/2 years old and has yet to sleep through the night!

Yes, it’s as painful and sleep-deprived as it sounds! The problem is that he is a restless sleeper and ends up tossing off his blankets throughout the night. When that happens, he calls out to my husband or myself for help re-covering up. Every. Single. Night! Multiple. Times. Each. Night! So. Tired!

We’ve tried teaching him to tuck himself back in {apparently it’s not the same as mom & dad}. We’ve tried letting him just cry it out until he figures it out {not working}. We’ve even tried sleeping bags…but the sleeping bags just slip and slide around his bed, causing other problems.

So, when Kids Zip Sheets said they had a product that would help me with this problem, I was all ears.

You guys!!! Telling you that I {puffy heart} LOVE Kids Zip Sheets would be an understatement! The very first night we put the Kids Zip Sheets on his bed, he slept through the night. No waking. No tossing off his blankets. Sleep! Glorious sleep!

Kids Zip Sheets are exactly what the name implies — they are a fitted sheet and a flat sheet that zip together {sewn together at the bottom}. Done! Kids are safely and warmly snugged in to their beds as they zip into their sheets. The zipper is easy enough for the kids to use themselves and the sheets include an unsewn, unzippered section toward the bottom on each side for some ventilation.

The flannel material make these zippered sheets perfect for year-round use and, because they are a sheet set, you still add that cute blanket, duvet or bed spread.

Now, the current stock of Kids Zip Sheets must be line dried after washing, which can be a bit tricky in the winter in the midwest and is a bummer when night-time potty training, but it’s a problem I’m willing to work around for sleep! And the good news is that they’ve re-engineered their zipper so future stock can be machine dried! Yay!

My only regret with Kids Zip Sheets is that I did not learn about these two years ago when we moved Talon from crib to big-boy bed! I don’t even want to do the math on how many hours of sleep I’ve missed out on! Que sera sera! Now we have them. And we love them!

Even if your child is not a blanket tosser, Kids Zip Sheets are still a great addition to kids’ beds because they make it so easy for kids to make their own beds! We’re looking forward to getting a set for each of my daughters for their bunkbeds!

Kids Zip Sheets are currently available in five solid colors and in both twin and full size. Be sure to check them out on Facebook and Twitter for upcoming discounts and giveaways!

    This is such a cool idea! I love that they come in flannel, because my daughter definitely needs the extra warmth in the winter. I also love that making the bed is easier with these too. 🙂

    This would be great especially in winter when you don’t want your kids to toss the covers off.
