How many times has your family watched “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” this holiday season? I estimate that we have watched it somewhere between 27 and 102. And it’s not even the final countdown to Christmas yet! My saving grace arrived this week with three awesome holiday movies from NCircle Entertainment. I think Santa was smiling down on me because I have three kids and three new movies that are tailored to fit each one.
My 1-year old is going to go cray-cray for “A Very Awesome Yo Gabba Gabba! Christmas”…and to be honest, my older two will probably find it pretty hilarious as well. My 3-year old loves Mike the Knight and I know he is going to want to watch “Mike’s Christmas Surprise!” until we all know all the words by heart (make sure you download the free coloring page here). My 6-year old has been reading Raymond Briggs’ classic “The Snowman” and “The Snowman Storybook” since she was a teeny tiny thing and I can’t wait to see how excited she will be to watch “The Snowman and the Snowdog”, a sequel to the original featuring the characters from the book (and approved by Raymond Briggs himself).

When a young boy and his mother move into a new house, the boy discovers a secret box hidden under the floorboards of his bedroom. In the box, he finds a hat, scarf, some lumps of coal and a shriveled tangerine – it’s a snowman-making kit! Later that day, when it starts to snow, the boy builds a Snowman and, with the spare snow left over, a Snowdog. That night, the Snowman and Snowdog come to life and take him on a wonderful adventure. As dawn breaks they fly home, but before the boy returns to bed a magical surprise awaits him!
