Just Say Hi album coverIt’s been awhile since I have shared new music with you all and today I’ve got a fun new album to tell you all about. Just Say Hi! by Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could has been on rotation for our summer adventure soundtrack.

The first couple times we listened to this album I just popped it into the CD player and didn’t tell my girls it was new music. I wasn’t completely sure of their reaction to these new songs until one day I heard my girls singing “Ice Cream Girl” together when they were playing. Apparently, their quietness when listening to Just Say Hi! the first couple times was from concentrations as they memorized the songs they were hearing.

“Music naturally brings people together and makes us all feel good,” Rymer says. “We had a blast recording these songs for you to enjoy. Watch out… our exuberance just might be contagious. Crank it up and ‘Get This Party Started’ with your family – and put a smile on your face.”

This is the seventh album of original songs for Grammy-nominated musician Brady Rymer. Prior to his career as a children’s musician he toured for 13 years with RCA roots-rock band From Good Homes and has shared the stage with such artists as Boy Dylan, Dave Matthews and the Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir. Basically, I’m telling you here is that Brady Rymer knows music and it’s a real treat to have had him switch to the children’s music scene after he became a parent.

Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could have recorded multiple albums for kids and families and can be found bringing their very own brand of rockin’ and energetic music across the country in their live shows. If your family is interested in seeing some live music this summer be on the lookout for Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could or check their upcoming show dates HERE to see if they’ll be near you!

Okay, back to the album…  The title song, “Just Say Hi!” is a catchy song with a great message to encourage kids to get over the fear of the unknown and to “Just Say Hi!” when meeting new friends. Upbeat ditties like “Danice ‘Til I Drop” and “Get This Party Started” will have your feet swinging and toes tapping, but be warned: if not strapped into car seats you may need to clear a space in your living room (and calendar) for an impromptu family dance party!

If you’re in need of some new tunes just in time for a family summer road trip I recommend adding Just Say Hi! from Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could to your playlist! Also, check out their website for complete details HERE on how to write your own review of the album on Amazon and iTunes and have the chance to win a blue ukulele!
