is @waltdisneyworld good for preschoolers? {part 1} #disneykids

Seems like many of my friends are always questions the correct age to bring their children to Disney World for the first time.  Obviously, you are going to spend an obscene amount of money, so you want your children to not only enjoy the experience, but REMEMBER it!  I have the opportunity to head to Disney World next week.  The topic?  Preschool-aged children and Disney World.  I can not wait to see what they have in store for us!

For now, what I do know, I wanted to share with you.  For starters, we are going to be staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.  I can’t wait for Adalynn to experience this place!  We have visited the park before, but never had the opportunity to stay in the Lodge 🙂  We will be having dinner here the first night as well as staying here out entire trip.  Pinch me!!

Then we are off to the Magic Kingdom on Friday.  Friday we will get see the new Festival of Fantasy Parade.  This is new to me so I can’t wait to experience it and share with you all.

Another fun activity that we will be experiencing is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for my Adalynn.  The first time we went with our oldest daughter, I longed to do this with her!  Now we get to experience this.  It’s a fun time of pampering your little princess.  There are many different price ranges of “services” that your little princess can experience.  And did you know your little princes can have fun there too!  They have a prince service menu as well! 🙂

Hollywood Studios on Saturday – I can’t wait! Adalynn is about tall enough to experience many of the rides she couldn’t go on last time.  Her top request?  Tower of Terror…oh yah!  We will see, I’m still not convinced she is tall enough.  I’ll report back 🙂  Oh yah, we will be hanging out with some Disney Junior characters too on Saturday and capping the night with a royal evening at Epcot dining at the Princess Storybook Dinner at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway.  Again, so excited to experience this!!

Now they have the Magic Bands.  These bands are all you need at Disney!  They are your park tickets, your room tickets, your…on and on!  How convenient, right?!?! I have heard from some friends that they had challenges with these when they went on their trip, and others say they worked perfectly. I think with anything there are some “growing pains”, and since these are SO new, things can happen.  However, I have nothing but high hopes for these!

There is more I’m not including which we will be doing.  I’ll keep posting so you TOO can decide if Walt Disney World is a great fit for you and your littles! 😉

We took our daugther at age 2 since she was still free to get in. We had a wonderful time. THen we took her back at age 4 and it was so FUN!! She LOVED Tower of Terror (!!!) the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique AND our Princess lunch at Epcot was so memorable. At age 4 we did autograph books and printed the pictures we took of her with each character and put them into the books. She is 9 now and we are planning our next trip, this time she will do the pin exchange. The live show of Disney Jr (it was Playhouse Disney when we went) in Hollywood Studios was so fun! It’s cool, indoors, and you can rest (sit on the floor) while the kids sing and dance along. Even 6 years ago the planning they had for each age group was amazing. We followed their recommendation that the Snow White ride might be scary and they were right! Have FUN!!!

DisneyWorld was always the best vacation of the year! We always went the week after Thanksgiving because it’s SO quiet and it’s all decorated for Christmas. Enjoy!
