how to start your year with a simple tea detox

disclaimer no giveaway
Each January I start off my year with a little sugar detox. In November and December, I say yes to too many desserts and treats. We are blessed to have amazing bakers among our family and friends so I go ahead and enjoy the treats over the holidays–without feeling guilty about it at all! But because the occasional treats start to become as close to a habit as I’d like them to get, we go dessert-free in January. My kids know to not even ask for after-dinner treats. This year, in addition to my no sweets rule, I’m adding a little extra boost–the Tease Triple Teatox.

It doesn’t get much simpler. Start and end each day with the Teatox blend from Tease. The ingredients in both daytime and nighttime teas are tea blends designed to help you start better habits. The daytime blend is a blend of Yerba Mate, Calendula Petals, Lemon Pieces and Lemongrass made to increase energy, burn fat and boost immunity (yes, please!). The evening blend focuses on aiding in digestion, cleansing and reducing bloat. Instead of reaching for chocolate chips or another after dinner treat, I’ve been making a cup of  the Triple Teatox Evening blend.

I also love that these teas are loose blends–it’s great to see what I’m actually drinking!  And look how pretty it is!  The directions are simple.  Add about a teaspoon to the included tea infuser, steep for about 8 minutes (I let mine steep while I get the kids breakfast in the morning or to bed at night) and drink!  I love the flavor in both blends.  Try adding a squeeze of lemon juice for an added boost!  To maximize your teatox effects, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and exercise regularly.

Tease has so much more than just the detox programs as well.  Tease is a great place to find so many kinds of teas (like matcha and tumeric tonic) and tea accessories. In addition to all of the health benefits of  Tease teas, Tease also donates a portion of their proceeds to organizations that empower women as part of their Chari’tea program.
