how to reduce your electricity bill

Posted on May 16, 2017June 6, 2017 by Jaime

Is your electric bill sky high? Are there ways that you could lower it but not sure where to start? I know there are ways that I could definitely cut back on the costs of electric.

A few things that come to mind would be as simple as tuning off the lights whenever you leave a room. Don’t leave them on for no reason. I know my kids do this, so I keep reminding them to turn it off.  Not sure if any of you do this as well, but watching TV before bed, you fall as sleep and it’s still going for hours and hours.  Set a timer on it so it turns off at a certain time and boom… saving a few bucks.

Here are some other helpful hints that can make it easier for you to cut back on the electric bill.  One of the ways I think is great and we have seen an impact is energy efficient appliances.  They really do work and you can check out some of them over at AJmadison.com.

This is good information. This afternoon I was using electricity calculators to figure out if I was using a few things more, to estimate the cost. I try to save as much as I can for my budget and the environment.

These are great tips for lowering your electricity bill, thanks for sharing! I always use power strips and unplug things that we are not using so they do not take up excess energy.

This is very interesting and informative. I have to be aware of the vampire appliances and we do try to shut off power strips when we can.
