how to make yourself appear taller, thinner and more confident {#WomenWhoDo #ic #ad}

โ€œI participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Influence Central for Vanity Fair. I received product samples to facilitate my review and compensation to thank me for my participation.โ€

When you have an ill fitting undergarment, do you notice that you tend to slouch. That you look uncomfortable…feel uncomfortable. Fidget a lot. Or even, don’t make the eye contact you typically make. It may sound strange, if you have never felt this way due to undergarments, but if you HAVE, I’m here to tell you that you are not alone!! I have, in the past, had some pretty bad undergarments. They may have worked for others, but my body type did not get accentuated in the RIGHT areas…if you follow me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Don’t we want something that gives us a little “lift”? I don’t need anything that puts the ‘v’ in voluptuous, yet I want to look good. Heck, there are so many other factors in the world that can pick you up or pull you down, I’m happy to report that I have found great undergarments that make me stand taller and prouder. I mentioned last month about a new connection I made with the Vanity Fair brand, and now that I’ve been using the products for about a month, I had to come back and share, share, share! One thing I simply love about the Vanity Fair products is that they are doing some serious research to find the trendy, fun and cool styles and trends. They are doing the work so we don’t have to, we can just buy the cool stuff!

First, I wanted to share with you some tips I have learned over the years to feel better, appear taller, thinner and more confident. So much relates to this post!

tips to make yourself appear taller, thinner and more confidentMake eye contact. You automatically appear more confident when you can make eye contact with someone. Smile. Do I need to elaborate? Stand up straight and pull your neck up. Have a GREAT fitting bra. You won’t be fidgeting, adjusting and worried about being saggy. You will feel confident knowing you are covered and supported well. Purchase the right clothes. Purchase the clothes that look good on you. Don’t worry about sizing. Pop some jeweler or other accessories on. Not only will you look a step dressier, but you will love the extra things for people to look at! Let the compliments come flying in and accept with a large THANK YOU and smile. ๐Ÿ™‚ Back on track with the Vanity Fair items I’ve learned about. I told you that I went to New York, was able to go in to Macy’s and try a ton of items on. From there, I purchased two bras (they had an awesome sale!), and then I got three pairs of Vanity Fair panties (again, awesome sale!). All this was under $100. If I had more time, I was going to get a strapless bra. I still will, I just haven’t yet. I’ll be doing that when I get my girls back in school and can try on undergarments with less distractions lol!ย  I was VERY intrigued by the Beauty Back collection of bras. They have technology that helps smooth out the back area. Seriously, back bulges are SO yesterday. Ha ha! Don’t we wish! IMG_8657 Well, their product is aimed at reducing/removing the appearance of the dreaded back bulge. Typically, this appears due to an ill filling bra. Take the time to get fitted at one of the places that sell Vanity Fair bras, places like retailers nationwide including Macyโ€™s, Kohlโ€™s, JCPenney and Sears. Vanity Fair has an extensive range of sizes from band sizes 34 – 44 and cup sizes B – DDD! That’s quite the range!! I’ve found these products on sale, but worst case scenario, you will be spending around $40 for a bra and $9 per pantie. Not bad!IMG_8660IMG_8661Next, I love a good pantie. I am a runner, a busy mother…heck, I’m doing it all it seems these days. I need a pantie to stay put. I have ZERO complaints about the panties I purchased from the Vanity Fair line. IMG_8663

I purchased a bikini and a strap sided bikini. I am not one that likes to have a lot in the underwear department, you know, when I’m wearing them. I don’t want them jumping out of my pants when I bend over.

One tip I have for you when picking out panties, try them on IN the dressing room (over your others, because, gross…). We always purchase things and say we will try them on at home. Let me tell you, take the extra couple minutes because it will save you time in the long run. I did that and actually ended up going with a size smaller than I thought I would have. WINNING, right? ๐Ÿ™‚IMG_8664

Another great point on the underwear, they don’t have tags. Can’t stand tags. Ha ha!IMG_8665

Vanity Fair is doing so much, looking in to so much so that we, as woman, can conquer the day, in whatever capacity we are doing just that. Go, in and with confidence ladies!!

What do you look for in undergarments? Is it the patterns, the fabric, the construction, the benefits? Talk to me! I’m happy to let you know that all my requirements for undergarments I have found IN Vanity Fair products now too. YAY!! And you guys, I will be saving money by buying Vanity Fair undergarments, in comparison to what I used to spend. Again…TOTAL WIN!

    Great post and I think many women especially can relate to this post. I remember my mom saying wearing darker clothing makes you appear thinner. Thanks for sharing!

    I am constantly trying to make myself look taller with heels, but I like that certain cuts of jeans make my legs look longerโ€ฆand how you can use stripes to your advantage. Having the right-sized bra really does make a difference.

    Wow! I love the outfit! I have actually had a couple of Vanity Fair bras and not only did they fit great, they came out of the wash wonderful (in a garment bag of course) and lasted forever. It’s been awhile since I have been fitted for a bra and I need to do so before I buy more. Perhaps I will try to go to Macy’s for some more VF.

      YES! When you are there, time it for one of their upcoming ‘fit events’. Even if you know your size, sometimes they bring light to new products or things you didn’t think you would like. ๐Ÿ™‚
