how to make your own matching game :: made with help from hp + little charmers

Earlier in the year I was pumped to find out that HP wanted to share with me throughout 2015…things new and cool! With that, I received some fun packages along the way. Things which I have been using with my family to create fun things to do and make memories. One of them, I HAD to share with you! Something SO simple.

Also, if you have been following along (here and here), I have been sharing Little Charmers, a family favorite show and toy, too. So, what’s better…I’m combining the two in to a fun DIY that anyone can do!diy make your own match game

With the Pocketbooth app ($0.99 cost), and photo strip paper from HP, I created this very easy DIY matching game that my girls have been enjoying. It’s simple to play, and even easier to make.IMG_0681

We took the toys and had a little photo shoot with them. Once the pictures were taken on the app, we inserted the PhotoStrips paper into the HP printer and off it went. We had to alter a few settings, but if you are a little techy, this will be no problem for you at all. Just follow the instructions!IMG_0684IMG_0685

From there, we cut out the pictures from the photo strip and glued them to some foam paper. Once the glue dried, we cut them out and…done-zo!!IMG_0691

Another variation you could do, that would be SO fun, is use your own family to take the photos and make the game!! I think my girls would LOVE this. Not only taking the pictures with the Pocketbooth app and printing them out, but then finding the matches. Oh. So. Fun.

Talk to me! What do you think? Could you see yourself doing this and would your kids love it too?
