how to create a fun and colorful easter basket :: tips + giveaway #bunnytrail

“This post is sponsored by Global Influence with products supplied by HERSHEY’S.”

Easter is right around the corner. And if you celebrate Easter, I’m sure you have thought about what goodies you will be making, er…partaking of, on the 20th of April. Outside of the REAL reason for Easter, candy and the bunny are a close second in many homes with younger children.

4 fun and different options for Easter basketsTo start our Easter holiday off on the right foot, I was supplied with an assortment of HERSHEY’s Easter candy – and my heart went pitter patter! HERSHEY’s is a favorite, even before I received all my goodies. Every time I check out at the store, I want to grab for my favorite HERSHEY’s items…

I put together a few ideas for you all to brighten up the Easter baskets you will be creating this year, using HERSHEY’s candy of course! Here are some of their yummy treats followed by my ideas:

  • HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate
  • HERSHEY’S KISSES Milk Chocolates
  • JOLLY RANCHER Hard Candy
  • TWIZZLERS Strawberry Twists
  • REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups
  • YORK Peppermint Patties
  • WHOPPERS ROBIN EGGS
  • ROLO Candy
  • KIT KAT Wafer Bars

Have an Easter Egg Hunt as an alternative to a basket ::
When we just had our Lili, as soon as she could walk, we did an Easter Egg Hunt. Ever since then, every Easter we pack up and head out to my folks’ home and celebrate Easter with our family there. One of the first things we do is the hunt!  It’s a pretty simple way to have some FUN while the kids grab up some goodies. We find that we have less candy too! Make HERSHEY’s the candy focus!

Decorate with ROBIN’S EGGS ::
Most everyone I know who has an Easter meal, has hard boiled, colored eggs. Make the plate even prettier and place the colorful ROBIN’S EGGS around the plate too for decorations. Then people are pleased who don’t like hard boiled eggs too!

Hershey's Easter Candy 2014Books, Toys & Bows ::
Fill the basket to the brim with HERSHEY’s goodies, and finish it off with a special little book, a fun little toy or some pretty little bows for your little lady.

A Toothbrush ::
Because that’s a very funny addition, yet a very applicable addition!

See more ideas over at Celebrate With HERSHEYS. There are SO many great ones, get ready to walk away with a day filled with FUN!

A SIMPLE GIVEAWAY!!
One U.S. resident SIMPLE reader will win a goodie basket filled with HERSHEY’s items (shipping coordinated by The Hershey Company)! Here is how to enter:
