This is the Hoover Steamvac Carpet Cleaner. Unless you have kids that don’t throw up or no carpet in your home, this is a machine every family should own. I have enjoyed my Steamvac for over a year now and it has paid for itself because I haven’t had to call in a professional carpet cleaner since I got it. To this day I look forward to cleaning our carpets. It’s very rewarding to watch all those stains we acquire vanish away.
Not only does it clean carpets, but the upholstery attachment does great on furniture. I’ve also used my Steamvac to clean our floor mats in our car.
A few things we’ve cleaned successfully: vomit, week old coffee, red children’s liquid medicine, general dirt traffic, yogurt, milk, etc. (I promise, I really am a good housekeeper, but we are apparently messy people!)

Will this clean laminate floors, too?
I think it might be a bit bulky for laminate floors. I did use it to suck up water on our tile floors in the bathroom when the toilet over flowed, but it is designed for carpet and rests a bit higher with the scrub brushes underneath.
If your laminate floors are sealed, I would suggest the Shark Pocket Mop. I love my Shark and I use it on my laminate floors. I don’t know that they are “sealed” as Shark suggests, but it has been working great for me for over a year now.
