harry potter invisibility cloak and light painting wand :: giveaway

disclaimer giveawayAlrighty mommas, it’s crunch time to get those Halloween costumes figured out. I think you might even avoid paying $823 on shipping if you order soon. Emphasis on soon. The hardest part can be deciding what to be for Halloween. My kids drive me crazy when they want to change to something different every other week. We have Halloween 2019 locked down: Harry Potter, a Ballerina, and an Army guy. No changes allowed.

Harry Potter is the theme of this post. I was holding my breath if Jack would want to dress up this year. He is 12 now. He just finished the Harry Potter books and movies so he was quite decided to be Harry Potter. I’m happy he will join us trick or treating one more year. He’s a pretty handsome Harry Potter in my most biased opinion.

Invisibility Cloak

harry potter is ready for halloween
Not only is it a great Halloween costume, but it’s a really cool toy. The cloak Jack is sporting works with an included app that makes him appear and disappear. app to disappear

If the kids want to be on devices in a creative way, I’m all about it. Anything covered with the cloak disappears and can be viewed, photographed, or filmed through the app. Jack has spent hours playing with this cloak. It’s fun to watch him get lost in his Harry Potter world.

Light Painting Wand

getting creative with the app

The wand is not only a great accessory to Jack’s costume, but also a toy. It features an ultra bright LED light that works with an included app. Images can be created with the light. Here’s examples of images Jack created. I’m sure the wand will be used as a flashlight while we trick or treat as well.

This video gives your more ideas for the fun that can come with the Light Painting Wand.

I’m happy my Harry Potter loving boy will be trick or treating with us for one more year. Many thanks to Wow! Stuff for making what may be Jack’s last Halloween a very memorable one.

I’m thrilled to share that we will be giving away the cloak to one lucky reader. The contest runs past Halloween, but it would make a wonderful Christmas toy idea. The recommended age is 8+. If you want to make this a part of your child’s Halloween costume, it’s available at Walmart, Amazon, Target, Books-a-Million, Kohl’s, and Barnes and Noble for $59.99-$69.99.
