When I’m traveling, I wear sensible clothes that can be comfortable in a variety of settings. I layer and usually wear closed-toed shoes (because I’m apparently becoming my grandmother).  When I go to the playground with my kids, I’m usually in capris and a tee shirt.  When I’m by myself and ready to relax enjoy a good book, I put on something comfy – neither restrictive nor too bulky.

When I’m out and about with my iPad, I put it in a sensible case. One that has a padded cover for the front so that nothing else scratches it up or or breaks the screen. And I can turn the case into a stand if I’m typing or showing something to someone else. When my kids use the iPad we put it in a child-friend case that saves it from spit, drool, sticky fingers, and the inevitable dance with the tile floor. But when I’m by myself and ready to enjoy a good book, I don’t want the bulk of the other cases and I don’t need 40 layers of safety. I need something lightweight and durable that isn’t bulky and is easy to hold. And oh, yeah…I want it to be cute, too!

Problem solved:
GetUncommon.com iPad caseGetUncommon’s iPad Deflector case with our most recent family picture. I was really impressed with how vivid the colors were and how detailed the image was! I tossed around several ideas before I settled on doing our picture. How cute would it have been to use one of my children’s latest artistic masterpiece? But with four kids, I can’t pick just one. I thought about getting them to make something together but with camps and vacations and trips, we simply haven’t had the time.

My favorite thing about this case is how slim it is. It’s thin enough that I hardly even notice it, but it still keeps it from getting dings and scratches. Dings and scratches are hard to avoid in a house like this one! I also love how easily it snaps on and off, which isn’t true of my other cases.

Get Uncommon has case options for almost any iProduct out there. You can choose a readymade case – including collections by some of my favorite designers and brands – or create your own with your own images or from GetUncommon’s image gallery. You can also easily add text during the customizing process.
