I love being able to use curl to change up my hairstyle, but the heat from a curling iron damages my hair so much that I never use one.  And I get nervous using a hot iron around my kids.  With Curlformers, you can create gorgeous, frizz-free curls with no heat.

Curlformers come in different styles (barrel and spiral) and in varying lengths.  They work great on long and short hair and also work for all ethnicities.  Their website is full of pictures and videos if you’re trying to achieve a particular style.  Because I prefer a looser curl, I ordered the barrel Curlformers in the long length.

I first tried the curlformers on my daughter who could not wait to go to school with curly hair.  We decided to put the curlformers in after her evening bath and she slept in them overnight.  She didn’t mind sleeping in them at all.  You do not have to sleep in Curlformers, but it is recommended to use them on wet hair and allow the hair to dry, with or without a hairdryer.

It was a bit of a learning curve when we first put the curlers in.  But once I got the hang of it, the process went smoothly.  One color of rollers curls clockwise and one curls counter-clockwise so you can decide how you want the curls to lie.  In the morning, the curlers came out quickly and easily.  And her curls were gorgeous.  We went from occasionally using pink foam rollers that left her hair with some frizzy areas and the inevitable lock that somehow ends up completely straight, so we were floored at how pretty these curls are!

Once I had the hang of it, I tried the Curlformers on my own hair. Again, after my hair dried, the curlformers slid right out and my hair was curled evenly all over. Excuse the selfie of the back of my head.
