As you move forward this holiday season, add these little tips in your schedule for a better experience and stress free time.

  1. Use online shopping services
Instead of spending hours in line at the many department stores, sit down each week to make a list of items you need. Head over to your laptop to purchase all of those items online. Whether you need groceries or Christmas gifts, utilize the power of online shopping. You can sit in the comfort of your own home to knock out one major item on your to-do list. It’s also a good idea to consider the gifts you know your family wants for the holidays. When you shop online, you’ll also be able to take advantage of some amazing sales. If you know that your husband wants a fantastic watch, consider going online to find luminox watches for sale. Certain websites will even wrap the gifts for you.
  2. Host events
For some people, decorating the home is such a fun experience. For others, it’s such a chore. Whether it’s a chore or a celebration, use this as an opportunity to host an event with your friends. During the holiday season, it’s easy for a lot of people to be busy and miss quality time together. Invite a few of your great friends over. Purchase a few entrees and dessert platters to host a decorating party. You’ll kill two birds with one stone this way.
  3. Schedule family time
Be intentional about spending time with your family during this hectic time. Schedule a family event each week. The event might involve a Christmas movie and Christmas cookies. You might decide that you all want to visit the local museum for their holiday exhibit. Find ways to get together and spend quality time together. It’ll revive you as you regain energy for the crazy season.
  4. Purchase prepped foods
Meal-prepping is one of the most time-consuming activities. Whether you’re chopping onions, seasoning the meats or peeling potatoes, it’s all work that can feel arduous and long. However, it’s so much easier to purchase certain items that have already been prepped. You can order a hot entree from one of your favorite restaurants. Purchase the pre-packaged salads that don’t require a lot of work at all. Add a loaf of garlic bread to the entree for a complete dinner meal. While some of these options cost more, you’re actually buying back your time. You won’t have to spend as much time slaving over a stove. You can spend that time doing something else that’s productive or restorative.
