find it games :: on the farm {giveaway}

We are big fans of Find It Games over here.  We have three tubes of fun – including the one I will be talking to you about today.  The reason I “italicized” the tubes of fun is because that is what my girls call it.  Whenever they go running into their rooms and tell me that they are grabbing their tubes of fun, I know what they will emerge with.  I totally have your curiosity perked, don’t I? Here is the most recent addition to our collection:

What I love about these games.  No batteries and HOURS of endless imaginative play.  Period. Some nights Lili will grab this and we will sit and find the items on the list for a good 1/2 an hour straight.  Most times more than that.  It’s fun bonding time while using our brains.  Just awesome.

Let me explain a little more about the product.  Each tube has a theme – and within that theme there is a list of items that are hidden within the tube.  There are bright colored little pellets that fill the tube and hide the items on the list.  That’s what makes it so fun and challenging.  You twist, flip, shake, roll and do the hokie pokie to find the objects.  The list is found on the bottom of the game as well as on a pad of paper with pages that can be ripped off and played over and over.

If you are one of the lucky ones that can find the magic penny, you truly do rock.  Click HERE to read more about that.  Another very fun aspect.

To go along with the fun, Find It Games has released 3 puzzles.

find it games pharaoh's egyptfind it games parade of animalsfind it games dry ground

I had the opportunity to see these first hand at Toy Fair this week.  The puzzles are all original pieces or artwork commissioned for this purpose – these puzzles. Once the puzzle is put together, around the edges are items to find within the puzzle.  It’s a simply fantastic idea.  Not only is it quality time spent putting the puzzles together, but then finding things too!

There are three puzzles, as you can see above. They are all history-themed.

  • In the Pharaoh’s Egypt puzzle, one item to uncover is the Eye of Horus. The item is explained at an age-appropriate level as, “belonging to the falcon god, Horus, this symbol was thought to bring prosperity and protection.”
  • In the Parade of Animals, descriptions of Gold Dust Day Gecko, Smooth Green Snake and Sugar Glider expose children to the wider world and may entice them to learn more on their own!
  • In On Dry Ground, the parting of the Red Sea story is shown, with objects like a chariot wheel, scrolls and win goblet hidden in the artwork.

These games have endless opportunities and lots of fun all around.  my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5
