fillyflairlogoSummer. The season of weddings, parties, outdoor concerts. I love summer’s social calendar, but with our busy summer days I don’t have lots of time for shopping for a perfect outfit for each occasion. I love to have a few go-to dresses that I can change up a bit to fit just about any occasion. I was on the hunt for one comfy casual dress and one that was a bit dressier. I saw Filly Flair come up in my Facebook news feed a few times and decided to check out their options. Wow! Can I tell you how impressed I was? It took so much resolve to stick to just two dresses. And I tried not to look too closely at their tops, jeans and accessories, but I couldn’t help myself! They pretty much have my dream wardrobe at Filly Flair. Tons of color, feminine design, simply gorgeous styles.

Now let’s get to the dresses. For my casual dress, I was looking for something that would wear like my favorite t-shirt, but kick things up a notch in style.  I opted for this Easy Come, Easy Go colorblock dress.  I thought it was casual enough to wear playing with my kids, but easy enough to still fit the bill for a summer BBQ.  I also like that it can double as a tunic and be worn with some leggings if it’s a little chilly. fillyflair2

For my dressy option, I was hoping for something lace (I am loving lace this season) in a bright color. I found the perfect fit in the Aria on Lace in Mint.  I love how easy it is to dress this up or down.  I have worn it with a jean jacket, cowboy boots, heels, flats, on it’s own and with fun jewelry and I’ve loved it every time.  I also love that it’s fully lined and the lining is thick enough that I don’t have to worry about anything showing through.   I even donned this dress to my high school reunion last weekend and was constantly asked where I got it.  LOVE. IT.

fillyflaircollageCan I tell you how many compliments I have gotten on these dresses?  I know I’ll be coming back to Filly Flair for on trend styles.  Did I mention they have kids sizes, too?  So excited to have found this woman-owned company (actually the CEO, Laura, is also the buyer and photographer for the company–and a mom herself.  HUGE props to her!)  Check out Filly Flair and tell me what you can’t live without.

I like the Time For Tea Floral dress; it even looks long enough for this tall girl without being a maxi dress!
