We feature a lot of new releases here on SIMPLE, but to date this year, I must say that Wreck-It Ralph is my family’s FAV movie! A couple weeks ago, we scheduled a family movie night. You may laugh because I said “scheduled”, but that is how we roll over here so that I can get the hubby home in time and I can have the goodies stocked in the cupboards. So, with all 5 of us anxiously waiting for the Wreck-It Ralph movie night to begin, I popped in the blu-ray DVD, grabbed the little kid sized bowls of popcorn and we were off and rolling. And boy were we rolling…all of us!
From the beginning, the subject matter caught the attention of not only the kids, but my husband and I. This wasn’t a family movie night {with mom and dad on their phones under the pillows…if you know what I’m sayin’} The humor was hilarious, the action was just enough and not once did my kids get up. Their attention was on the movie the entire time.
From Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Wreck-It Ralph” takes viewers on a hilarious journey. For decades, Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) has played the bad guy in his popular video game. In a bold move, he embarks on an action-packed adventure and sets out to prove to everyone that he is a true hero with a big heart. As he explores exciting new worlds, he teams up with some unlikely new friends including feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman). The film is directed by Emmy®-winner Rich Moore.
If you can’t tell, I totally endorse this movie. I {heart} it big time! Now that it is released, you need to go rent it or buy it today…and have it ready for your own family movie night this week! 🙂
