encourage dramatic play with bramblebox props :: review + giveaway

brambleboxlogoI’ve been blessed with pretty imaginative kids. And to help hone in on that creativity, I like to keep things in the house to promote free play.  The benefits of pretend play are so vast, experts consider play the foundation of intellectual exploration. It’s so easy to turn to the newest i-thing to keep my kids entertained. But Bramblebox Props makes it easy to encourage dramatic play with new thematic pretend play prop boxes delivered each month.

005Bramblebox Props is the brainchild of Morna Pollock, who designed each box with her own children in mind. The gender-neutral boxes are appropriate for kids ages 3-8 and include props and ideas to promote social and emotional, language, problem solving and gross and fine motor skills.  Each month has a new theme such as post office, detective, scientist, florist or community helper.

brambleboxdarby 002My kids were so excited to try out the detective kit from Bramblebox Props. The kit included a Sherlock Holmes hat, mini flashlight, magnifying glass, a fingerprinting kit, detective’s notebook, stickers and activity ideas. Of all of those things, my favorite was the activity ideas! As soon as we opened the box, my 8-year-old daughter couldn’t wait for me to write a message using the secret decoder. We later fingerprinted each of our kids.  Bramblebox Props even comes up with fun ideas using the box the props come in!

006Even the most creative moms can use a little help finding fun ideas.  I love that Bramblebox Props sends materials and ideas straight to you–at an affordable price!
