embrace america’s favorite pastime with ‘mo smells the ballpark’ :: review

mo Do you know Mo? If not, you are missing out. Mo is a lovable puppy who loves exploring the world with his nose. My family has recently discovered Mo and we are all smitten. The Mo’s Nose series, written by Margaret Hyde and illustrated by Amanda Giacomini, follows Mo as he discovers all of the magical smells around him. These books are totally unique in that you, the reader, get to smell right along with him with Press-2-Smell technology, where you push on a little spot on each page to activate the smell. My kids are in love with these books!

Mo’s newest tale, Mo Smells the Ballpark, is a little different in that the book itself does not have the smelling experience of the other Mo books (there are scented stickers at the end, though!). But the story itself more than makes up for it. This super fun read finds Mo and his friends attending a baseball game and brings the game to life as Mo literally steps up to bat. From the smells of the ballpark to the thrill of the game, this book showcases all that there is to love about baseball (and there is a lot!).

This story, written by Margaret Hyde along with daughter of baseball great Frank Robinson, Nichelle Robinson, is illustrated by Aman Chaudhary and supported by Major League Baseball. Mo and his puppy friends play ball and show team spirit as they enjoy America’s favorite pastime together in this great book for baseball fans of any age.
