This therapy is not for open wounds, burns, or abraded skin. You need to let those injuries heal and use this therapy for the management of closed hypertrophic or keloid scars.  I have a keloid scar on my shoulder from a skin cancer biopsy. It’s a raised, red mark that looks angry. My dermatologist has given me two cortisone shots to flatten this scar. It was a quick, but uncomfortable shot and it didn’t work the first try. Using the embrace dressings for 4 weeks so far has been a much better solution.

You might not have a current injury or scar, but please mental note the Embrace Scar Defense for you or your family members. Better yet, PIN it on Pinterest so you can find it later. Embrace is for new scars that are less than 6 months old. For the best results you will want to start the application 2-4 weeks after sutures have been removed and the incision is dry.
