Chicken Broccoli

Sometimes, we dread trying to figure out what we are going to have for dinner.  I am lucky enough that my significant other makes most of the meals in our house. Can I get a THANK YOU?! I am very grateful that he does this.  But, with school starting and all the sports and dance activites beginning, let the busy begin.

With all that in mind, this is why we have started planning meals and sticking to it.  On certain nights of the week, dinner time meals need to be quick and easy. Shopping at Walmart to get these items for this was easy. With so much going on and bringing kids here and there you need to have something that you can quick throw in the oven when you get home. Don’t you agree?  I am sure we are in the same boat when it comes to after school time.

I partnered up with Farm Rich® and Bird’s Eye to share with you a quick recipe that we are loving.  Farm Rich® Smokehouse makes shredded chicken and pork that is located in the freezer section of your grocer. It it great because it makes meal so much easier and quicker. Pair it with Bird’s Eye steamfresh veggies or potatoes and you have yourself a quick meal.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole

  • 2-3 bags of Sour Cream and Onion Bird’s Eye potatos
  • 1 package of Farm Rich® Smokehouse Smoked chicken
  • 1 bag of frozen broccoli – even tastier if you use the Bird’s Eye Ranch Broccoli
  • 1 large jar of chicken gravy
  • 1-2 cups of shredded cheese

You will need a 9×13 pan. Layer the potatoes in the bottom of the pan. On top of the potatoes layer the frozen broccoli. Place entire bag of shredded chicken all over the top of the broccoli.  Drizzle chicken gravy over the top of everything. Use it all.  Then put the cheese evenly all over the top.

Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes, depending on your oven.

It is very easy and would be perfect to get ready in the morning, stick in the fridge and then pop in the oven when you are ready to.

Would this be something you and your family could easily make?  What do you when for dinner when you are busy after school?

It is super easy to make, but I would use my own chicken and make my own gravy. I guess I am not a precooked chicken person.

In a quick pinch it would be helpful but making your own sounds great too! =)

This looks SO easy and I bet I could get my husband to eat veggies this way too 🙂 I haven’t seen those Birds Eye potatoes before. I’ll have to check them out.

It is super easy. It was tricky to find those potatoes. Our Walmart was sold out when I went back to get more.
