disclaimer giveaway
10346706_10201619257236065_1573926249_nYou ever have one of those friends in your life that are just flat out good at what they do?

I’m talking they just know everything about everything in a certain area?

I met the owner of Cheshire Fields this past year and I have been itching to get her on SIMPLE! I have never met anyone that is so passionate about herbs and how they can be used in everything from soap to tinctures, and lotions to tea.

cheshire fields :: nature inspired herbals :: review + giveawayWhen she agreed to come on SIMPLE I asked her for a list of everything she can do and make – and the list was so long I couldn’t even type it out! One of the things that sets Cheshire Fields apart from other handmade herbal shops is her extensive list of custom orders. You can either tell her exactly what you are looking for – or, if you are an herbal novice like me, you can tell her what you are working on and she will have the perfect thing in mind for you!

I told Michelle that I have been working on some post partum detoxing using hot baths a couple times per week. I new I wanted something clay based but wasn’t sure what else to have her add. She knew exactly what I needed to help the process along as well as stay safe while I’m still nursing a baby. Her confidence and knowlege are incredible.

Herb infused balms have become a staple in my house for after baths, soothing scratchs and bumps, and using in between diaper changes. I really think everyone should have a good basic herbal balm around! I really like Cheshire Fields olive oil based herbal balm. Gental enough to use on the baby, and works well on dry or irritated skin. Very mild pleasant scent too.

I also got to try out a handful of her butter and salt based soaps. The shea butter baby herbal soap is perfect for the girls – even baby Caitlyn. No dry skin, and the big girls can play with it in the tub without harming their skin. The aloe vera salt bar with activated charcoal is perfect for in the bath to exfoliate and draw toxins out. And the cocoa butter soap is super moisturizing and smells amazing.

I was intrigued by the beer and honey shampoo bar she had in her shop so I had to try it. I was really surprised by the list of benefits in this shampoo bar! This was my first time using a shampoo bar, and I have been fighting the idea thinking I had too much hair to really benefit from one. I’m glad I tried it out! I have been using it for a couple weeks and my hair feels really good. One of the things she had mentioned about shampoo bars to me was that the shampoo bars impart oil to the hair so it is really like a shampoo and conditioner in one. My hair is soft and managable.

I love the details on *every* single one of the products on Cheshire Fields. Every product is described with the herbal benefits and how it will help you! Don’t forget to check out the custom order link below so you can see what sort of things she can make up for you!
