britt nicole :: gold

Ever had your little one start singing a song you had no idea they had even learned?  I have.  With two impressionable young girls to raise I am rather selective on what they listen to and it has been no coincidence that so far these surprise songs have always been “mom-approved.”

Britt Nicole‘s new Gold album definitely falls into the “mom-approved” category and I won’t be at all surprised to one day hear my little ones spontaneously burst out singing anything from Gold.

From the first time I listened to Gold I couldn’t help but smile, tap my foot, nod my head, and think of sunshine & summer.  An even bigger test was passed the first time I let the girls listen.  On a hectic day of running errands I looked up in my rear-view mirror to see both girls with big grins on their faces just ROCKING out.

Here’s a video of Britt Nicole singing an acoustic version of “All This Time,” the first single that was released from the Gold album.  Definitely more low key than the album version, but worth a listen nonetheless…

Even if you didn’t understand a single word of the lyrics I don’t think you could miss the fact that these songs are full of joy and positive messages.  Officially at the top of my new summer music mix, Britt Nicole’s Gold album is a hit with the whole family. my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5

Gold :: $9.99 from iTunes
