#BeautyIs to me…

*This post is sponsored by Global Influence.*

In the day and age of selfies running rampant, I wanted to remind you that it’s ok and NOT vain to take them! I know we have all heard it on social media, “if I see another selfie, I’m going to un-friend!” UNI_WAG_Dove_SelflessSelfie_Asset2[10][1]Well, today I wanted to put that in to some perspective for you. Have you never thought, maybe this person needs a pick me up for the day? Maybe they are having a bad day and they just want someone to tell them they are pretty? Or their hair looks nice? Or that they are a beautiful person inside and out? Yes, I know it’s hard to think that when the same person is posting their face over and over and over. Maybe they ARE just fishing for a compliment, but maybe the person who randomly posts is just needing some self assurance. You just never know. So, before you judge and say something snide, either out loud or in your head, let’s just think… πŸ™‚

Walgreen’s and Dove {read FULL details below} have the idea of selfies and self-image in mind with a new campaign going on right now. I shared my selfie on my personal Instagram as well as SIMPLE’s Instagram, challenging you all to do the same!

IMG_1542I challenge YOU NOW – take the Walgreens Dove #BeautyIs challenge and post a selfie with the hashtag. Again, full details are at the bottom of this email…

My husband did a sweet, sweet post on Facebook and I just had to share it here as it’s SO applicable to the topic.

Ladies…YOU. ARE. ENOUGH. I hope you do now or can truly believe that you are enough!!

Wives and mothers…. How could you not think you are enough? I watch Shannon, and countless others like her, accomplish great things daily as well as being an amazing wife and mother. It’s so interesting how some of you don’t see greatness when you look in the mirror. Poor self images never got anyone anywhere in life. You are “enough” ladies. God only created greatness. Own it. Crush it. Conquer it.

I love that Dove is so dedicated to helping our little girls realize that they are more then what is on the outside. Definitely something to think about though. I had never thought that someone may just be needing that reassurance by posting that selfie
