be free from spring allergies with airfree

I never knew how lucky I was until I wasn’t.

Let me explain…

For thirty years I never experienced allergies. I breezed through those Spring and Fall seasons without so much as a care that pollen was swirling in the air around me. Then I had babies.

It’s the craziest thing but, somewhere in all that baby-growing–baby-having time, I developed allergies. Or I guess you could say how my body reacts to allergens changed. Yeah, because the stretch marks weren’t enough.

So now I’m part of the 55% who suffer from allergies. As soon as that pollen starts to fly (or the cats think I’m their new bestie), I’m all itchy scratchy seriously make it stop!!! Thankfully, aside from the cat-induced itches, my allergies are limited to times when we have super high pollen counts.

Because I’m still new to this whole allergy thing (my sympathies go out to those of you who have been long-time sufferers), I’m still trying to figure out how to best combat them. In addition to some temporary-relief methods, I’ve been checking out the Airfree Air Purifier.

The Airfree Air Purifier basically rids the air of microorganisms like dust mites, pollen, fungi, etc. And it does it without the use of any chemicals. It simply uses heat…kind of like how you use heat to boil and sterilize water. The Airfree Air Purifier uses its exclusive patented Thermodynamic TSS™ Technology to draw in the contaminated air, heat it to over 200ºC to sterilize it, and then cool it back down before releasing it back into the environment. The heating portion strips all those nasty little allergens from the air!

Now, there are a few features on the Airfree Air Purifier that immediately sold me on it. First, this whole “allergen cleansing” process that the Air Purifier does is completely safe for the environment. It doesn’t emit any nasty chemicals or emissions into the air. It just returns nice, clean, allergen-free air to my room. And, while I completely understand the importance of pollen in our world and how it keeps the trees & bees happy, I don’t think it’s all that important in my living room. Pollen outside; clean air inside; everyone’s happy!

Second, the Air Purifier literally requires zero maintenance! You guys!!! All I have to do is turn it on and let it do its thing! No filters to change or liquids to add. It’s quite possibly the easiest thing ever! {Which also means no additional costs!}

Bonus features — it’s quiet! Super quiet! It actually makes no noise at all! BAM!

The Airfree Air Purifier Onix 3000 is also small and mobile, so you can easily take it along with you when you visit family or stay at a hotel. I like the mobility of it just for moving it to different rooms in our house where needed! This particular model (the Onix 3000) is ideal for rooms up to 650 sq. ft., but there are other Airfree models for smaller room sizes.

Sure, I still have to deal with these blasted allergies when we’re out in the yard or away from home, but at least I’m getting a little relief now at home! My nose is very thankful  😉

You can find the Airfree Air Purifiers at a handful of stores, as well as Amazon.com.

Do you deal with seasonal allergies? What are some of your tips for combating those nasty allergies this time of year?

    This looks awesome! My allergies are so bad that when someone asks “oh what’s that smell?” I’m like “I don’t know” because something is always bothering my nose. I don’t like taking allergy medicine daily so this may help indoors.

    I would love to put something like this in our bedroom! We moved to Texas from Virginia about 5 years ago and my allergies are so much worse here!

    I’m with ya- allergies are so annoying! And I’m worried my kids are getting them too. I’ve taken allergy medication my entire life, but I still get some symptoms… I wonder if this would help! Thanks for the review, I think I’ll look into this for my home!
