#aSIMPLEChristmas :: ann williams group craft kits :: the perfect tween and teen gift + giveaway

Merry Christmas from theSIMPLEmoms

annwilliamslogoDoes anyone else have a hard time with the tweens on your Christmas list?  My nine-year-old daughter is done with toys, but not yet into clothes.  It makes shopping a bit tricky! The one thing she loves to do is craft.  We were lucky enough to discover some fun craft kits from Ann Williams Group earlier this year (see my review of those kits here).  Now we are hooked on these kits that simplify craft-making!

Ann Williams Group is always coming up with new ways for kids to be able to make things they actually like.  We’re talking scarves, jewelry hangers and home decor that is actually something you want in your home!  This is way beyond crayons and paper or rubberband bracelets.  Their Craftastic Kits really run the gamut of craft ideas–from pillows to string art to crochet.  We tried out three kits from their Craftastic line and have loved having some screen-free indoor time.  These are perfect to have on hand in the winter!

pompomCollage
We used the Pom Pom Kit first and my daughter had the idea of making a solar system model out of pom poms.  I love her creativity so we went with it!  We researched what colors we should use and what sizes of pom poms to make so that the model would be as to-scale as it could be.

Next we tried the finger crochet.  We started with a headband.  What I really appreciated was the video on the Ann Williams Group website showing us what to do.  Watching someone else finger crochet made it much easier for us to get started!

yarntreeCollage
We were both most excited for the Yarn Tree.  Not only does it look super cool, but (bonus!) my daughter might actually put her jewelry away!

Aside from their Craftastic line, Ann Williams Group has two other products–the Loop De Doo (for super simple bracelet making) and the Loop De Loom (a spinning loom to make weaving simple enough for older kids and teens).

A SIMPLE GIVEAWAY!

Ann Williams Group is giving one SIMPLE reader a Loop De Loom!  Just look at some of the projects you and your favorite crafter can make with this kit!  (I plan on borrowing my daughter’s and her friend’s while she is at school to make a cowl scarf–this isn’t just for kids!)
