a triscuit a traskit, put new flavors in your basket :: review {#MC #Sponsored #BrownRiceTriscuit}

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Triscuit. I received products to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

Being a very active mom on the go, I’m always looking for something that will not only satisfy MY hunger but my children’s hunger as well.  When it comes to health food…sometimes they taste very bland and not even I can stomach them.  I’m sharing a new item from Triscuit with you today, not saying this is a health food, but it’s definitely a healthier option than many items on the market!  I’m going to tell you a little about what’s in them and what we liked about them and how we used them.

First of all, the only bad news I have for you today.  These DO have wheat in them, so they DO NOT  fit into a gluten free lifestyle.  Sadness if you are looking for a gluten free option.  However, if you aren’t looking for gluten free, keep reading!

The flavor varieties include ::

  • Brown Rice Triscuit baked with Sweet Potato seasoned with Roasted Sweet Onion
  • Brown Rice Triscuit seasoned with Sea Salt & Black Pepper
  • Brown Rice Triscuit baked with Red Bean seasoned with Roasted Red Pepper
  • Brown Rice Triscuit seasoned with Tomato & Sweet Basil
  • Brown Rice Triscuit baked with Red Bean seasoned with Savory Red Bean

I received the first three listed and shared them at a play day/lunch we had with some girlfriends and their kids.  My daughters ate all three flavors, and didn’t complain about any.  They liked them all!  All the adults at the play day tried each – of which, everyone had their favorites.

A little on the product now.  Triscuit added the brown rice to their traditional wheat crackers that have been around for a while now.  In addition to that, they added “real food flavors” such as sweet potatoes and red beans.  Let me tell you, I’m not a fan of red beans typically, but I could tolerate these.  You can definitely taste the beans in the crackers, it was kind of different!  The sweet potato one is SO delicious!!

I love cheese and in my opinion, cheese makes everything better. 😉  I desperately need to go to the store to stock up on food for the week, however we did have cream cheese.  So, you guessed it.  Cream cheese was placed on top of these crackers and it was a great combo.  Nothing fancy, but it was a great little twist to mix up the crackers.

Brown Rice Triscuit crackers are baked with 100% whole grain brown rice and wheat, (at 21 grams whole grain per serving), no high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oil, cholesterol or artificial flavors.

It’s a new take on a classic cracker!!
