a simple leather stain remover

My husband has been wanting a new living room suit for some time now. He was browsing the Market Place on Facebook and found a leather living room suit that he wanted. I wasn’t too pleased because one of the seats was ruined by a BIG WHITE STAIN!! Although he got a great deal I didn’t think I would ever be able to remove the stain.

Well I searched and searched for products to clean leather, but decided on trying a recipe instead. This was a simple leather stain remover that WORKED!! Remember I didn’t think there was any chance that anything could help this awful stain. This recipe was SO SIMPLE! It called for one part Olive Oil to two parts White Vinegar.

Don’t fret it will not ruin the leather. At first I was skeptical, but I tried a little bit and waited for it dry before I tried using the solution again. When I saw that it was a built up of hair products I knew I was on the right track. I could tell that it was a build up of products when I saw spots of the leather underneath from when I used a little bit of the solution.  Then I mixed up more of this concoction and began cleaning and scraping it with my nails. Yes, I said my nails. Our couch is the soft leather and I was scared that a brush would leave scratch marks in the leather.

I do admit that this process took several hours, but it was totally worth it when I saw the results. The couch other than this stain looked brand new and now the entire set looks brand new. The only downside to this experiment was that no one else in the house got as excited as I did with the results.

Would you be brave enough to try this recipe?
