I am not a crafty person.  There I said it.  I ADMIT it!  As hard as I try, it just makes me anxious when it doesn’t turn out perfectly.  I know that now, and ONLY take on things that my “craft level” can handle.  However, the problem is I just love handmade.  I love what it does for the soul when you make a gift and give it to a person.  That being said, I still attempt crafting, I just do what I consider “easy” yet still cute and super meaningful.

So, I have a great craft for you today!  I made these in honor of “Fall” and Halloween just around the corner and a new FABULOUS candy out in the market, Starburst Candy Corn.  At first, you might be thinking…interesting.  Rest assured, I have tried every piece, and if you like Starburst, you are going to LOVE this!

I put together a little “thank you” gift for my girls’ teachers.  Thanking them for everything they have done so far this school year.  Now, I share it with you!

For starters, you need ::

  • Starburst Candy Corn!!
  • Mason Jars with lids
  • Twine or some sort of ribbon
  • Paper – something to create a nice tag, like the one shown below
  • Hole punch
  • Scissors

Starburst Beginning
On to the steps ::

  1. I dumped out all the candies and picked out the pretty ones.  The ones that were broken, I didn’t use.  You know, the perfectionist in me 🙂Starburst Up Close
  2. Next I put them in piles according to their color.
  3. After that, I started layering the Starburst Candy Corn in the Mason Jars.Starburst in Jar
  4. Screw on the tops, and now you are ready to wrap the twine.  Before wrapping the twine, be sure to have your “tags” ready.  You may have to cut them out or write them up….whatever you decide.
  5. I needed my husbands help because the twine kept falling down.  Whatever you have to do, right?!?!

Voila! And done – ready to be gifted!!
