“The days are long, but the years are short.”
“Enjoy the little things for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.”
“No one tells you that the hardest part of motherhood is when your kids grow up.”
There are so many quotes about how fast time really goes by, especially with your kids! I love hearing the reminders from sweet older couples in the grocery store about cherishing every minute because too soon it will be gone! It’s especially a nice reminder in the middle of a temper tantrum!

While we are enjoying lots of little moments and some big moments along the way, I can’t believe how many little details I’ve already forgotten. I am trying to be purposeful about writing things down, recording things, and taking pictures so I can remember the cute little things they say and do, the funny voices they make, and the little expressions that will change all too quickly!
For our little girl’s first birthday, A Sweet Life Designs (an amazing Etsy shop), designed a perfect keepsake to remember some of the highlights of our baby’s first year! It was beautiful on display at the party, made for a fun little thank you card to send to those close to us, and is going to look beautiful in her almost finished new room!

Some of the things we included were her favorite foods, toys, and things to do! We also marked down her 8 teeth and her height and weight! I love that we have such a beautiful way to remember some of the things that are already continuing to change! A Sweet Life Designs also makes thank you cards, other signs, and invitations!
Enjoy the little moments and remember as much as you can about the details of the life around you.
