Have you ever tried something new and wished that you had known about it sooner so that you could have been enjoying it for longer? That is how I felt the first time I tried popchips, a potato snack that has half (HALF!!!) the fat of a potato chip and all of the crispy deliciousness. These chips are not baked and not fried…..they are (as their name implies) popped. And oh, they are so good.
We got to try a few different varieties of popchips — sea salt, barbecue and crazy hot (my personal fave). They are light and airy and a bit reminiscent of a miniature rice cake. They have no added preservatives, no artificial flavors, no cholesterol and zero grams of trans fat. And right now, to add to the popped fun, they are available with Star Wars packaging (we also received a bag of Frozen featured popchips, which pleased my two daughters to no end). Honestly, my picky kiddos each picked up a snack sized bag and gobbled them right up. They were also pretty excited about the 3-pack of tattoos that was included in each variety bag we received. (They had to put them on immediately, actually.) These tasty treats are perfect for school lunches or an after-school snack. But be careful, they are hard to put down once you start crunching!
