I have not been shy about the fact that I am 100% over this Winter (yay! We are officially in Spring.). I need this snow to miraculously melt overnight and green grass to be as far as the eye can see. But, as ready as I am for Spring, I think Jasper is even more ready. This Winter has been especially brutal on him.

The wet and snowy ground irritates his paws and he can only tolerate the cold for a very short amount of time. But he so desperately wants to be wherever we are, especially when we are all outside. Anticipating that Spring will be a slow warm-up this year and knowing our cabin-fevered family will be outside whenever possible, it is definitely time to outfit this dog!

Honestly, we’re not a big “put a sweater on the dog” kind of family. Mostly because our 80 pound Boxer doesn’t typically fit in doggy sweaters, nor would you really want him to. But the dog gear from Alcott Adventures? That is some doggy gear Jasper can get behind!

With Jasper’s sensitive paws, the Adventure Boots have been so wonderful! After a little learning curve and some getting used to (and lots of laughs from us), Jasper is totally fine wearing his new boots! They fit snuggly around his “ankles” (do dogs have ankles?) but allow enough room for his paws to flex and move. The reflective top material makes them comfortable and gives some reflective visibility in the evenings, while the rubber soles keep him stable on pretty much any terrain, including the snow. Mostly, they give his paws the protection he needs from the wet and cold snow!

Now, if only Alcott Adventures could make the Midwest weather cooperate so we can be outside more!

I love the shade canopy! my parents adopted my foster dog, and I love her like she was mine! they often go camping, and though she loves being outside, she’s like me, a wimp in the heat. I think she’d enjoy the shade canopy so she could rest in the shade but not miss a single thing.

I really love the pup tent! I’m a little torn though, I want it, but I really feel like my little guy will just crawl up with us in our tent….worth a shot!
