Having another baby and it being your 3rd and not having anything, sort of makes getting things easy because you can start fresh.  Plus, you can get the things you need and pass up all the things you really are not going to use.  It was much easier choosing things this time around because I didn’t have the mind set that I need everything.  With your first, you think you need everything.  When it really comes down to it, you actually don’t.  I wanted to get the things that I was going to use daily and be beneficial for me and baby.

One of these items was a baby monitor!  It is a must have if you want to be able to sleep at night.  Of course, we didn’t really need one until she was sleeping in her crib at night and for naps.  I want to introduce you to a brand that was new to me. It is Gynoii and they make two pretty sweet wireless baby monitors.  We got to review one of them and have been using it for several months. I wanted to be sure, I got to know the monitor and was well knowledgeable on it before I shared it with you.

My favorite features:

• There is no actual screen/monitor, you use the app on your phone.  This was a big thing for me because I didn’t want to have to carry or find a screen every time I wanted to look at her.  My phone is always close so it was easy to just quick look on there.
• Two way talk – you can talk to your baby right through your phone
• Play a lullaby or white noise – if baby is crying you can start a lullaby or white noise right from your phone to try and soothe your baby.
• You can record and take photos right in the app as well.

We are pretty happy with how our Gynoii monitor is working out.  It has a great range of tilt and spanning of the room as well. We also love that we can put the app on multiple devices for more then one person to be able to keep an eye on her.

Overall, we are happy with this monitor and would recommend it to any family with baby’s and kids. You are probably wondering what makes this monitor different or better then the other out there.  I think it is just preference on what you want with your monitor.  This has all the features we were looking for in one and it fit perfect on the shelf in her room.  It is quite small and had a somewhat easy setup.
