three simple ways to help you through diaper changes #HuggiesAtKroger

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Huggies, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HuggiesatKroger  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

There are times when diaper changes can be a struggle.  There are many ways to help make this easier for you as your child gets more mobile. I remember when I had my first child, we got a routine down and was able to get diaper changes done in nothing flat.  With my third child, we have been having some trouble getting into a groove because we haven’t found the right diaper…until now!

So, let’s talk diapers for a bit. Diaper changes are one of the many things you do multiple times a day when you have a baby.  You will be doing it for several years, depending on when you start to potty train.  So, for me, I want to find the best diaper that works for us and my baby.

What do you look for in a diaper?  With the many options we have tried, we have finally tried our last brand. Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers are the one for us.  These diapers are amazing unlike the other brands we have tried.  We can have up to 12 hours of protection because of the triple layer protection.  One thing we did have with Luvs Super Absorbent diapers was leakage, lots of it, but Huggies stops it way better then Luvs. I’m talking total blow out, out the sides and up the back.  Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers absorbs quickly to help stop leaks and offer up to 12 hours of long-lasting leakage protection to help keep her dry throughout her daily activities.  We have not had any leakage or blowouts since we started using the Huggies Snug & Dry diapers. SCORE!

With Huggies being new and improved, with great protection at a better price, you will definitely want to stock up on them. We shopped at Kroger for our Huggies Snug & Dry diapers. Now, that you have found the perfect diaper with Huggies Snug & Dry, here are a few tips to help with those diaper changes.

Be prepared!

This is the most important step you can take when going to do a diaper change. Be prepared! Be prepared for the worst. What I have is a basket (changing station) right where I always change her diaper. In this basket I keep, a changing pad, wipes (also Huggies), Huggies Snug & Dry diapers, diaper cream and an extra outfit. Just because you never know what’s going to happen.

Be as quick as possible!

Trying to be fast with changing a diaper is not an easy task, but do able. Being prepared will help make things quicker. I always have fresh diaper ready, opened up and under the dirty diaper.  You will probably already have an idea of the situation before even getting clothes unsnapped.  I always take out 2-3 wipes and lay them right next to me, for quick grabbing.  When she is all clean and ready for new diaper, I remove old one and easily fasten new one.  Makes everything must smoother.

Keep them distracted!

As your kids get older, they get mobile and want to escape when getting diapers changed. At 3.5 months, my daughter is still in the okay stage of getting diaper changed. The best way when they start moving around is get a toy. Keep one that they love in the basket with all the other things. You can also make it fun and tickle those little toes, pay attention to them. Keep them distracted with noises is always a fun way too.

Having these baskets placed all over the house is how I have it set up.  They are very helpful when need to get a diaper change in real quick.

What do you do to help with diaper changes? Do you use Huggies?  Share some ideas that you use to get you through those tough diaper changes?
