s.a.l.t. sisters logoA master chef I am not, however, I am a parent who likes to make tasty and hopefully healthy foods for my family to eat. Even with my rudimentary culinary skills I know that spices, herbs, and flavors can make all the difference between a meal being a family favorite or a complete flop. Thanks to s.a.l.t. sisters and their various products I’ve discovered a gold mine in how to change up or add one ingredient to a dish to turn those flops to favorites on a regular basis!

s.a.l.t. sisters saltsBesides for offering a great selection of unrefined sea salt, s.a.l.t. sisters also carries organic cane sugars (c.a.n.e), seasoning rubs (r.u.b.s), vanilla infusion kits (b.e.a.n), and natural herb blends (h.e.r.b) and most recently all natural dip blends (d.i.p.s). Within each of these product categories you will find high quality products that offer great flavors!

Last week I decided to give making burgers for the family one more try (I’m a notorious failure at burger making). This time I decided to try the Caprese Burgers recipe from s.a.l.t. sisters website that uses their Tuscan Farmhouse h.e.r.b.  I had all the ingredients ready but then ran out of time so I simplified and simply sprinkled the h.e.r.b blend on my burger patties (both sides) and cooked them up for dinner.

Lime Fresco Sea Salt guacMy boring burgers were magically turned into little pieces of mouth watering deliciousness. Seriously, my mouth is watering again just to think about it, and even my youngest daughter (who usually doesn’t like burgers) ate every last bite of her burger that night!

Time and time again I am adding in a s.a.l.t. sisters c.a.n.e, r.u.b.s, h.e.r.b, or d.i.p.s product to things, and suddenly my girls are devouring foods they would barely touch before! Salsa di Parma d.i.p.s added to olive oil and suddenly they want to sit around and have bread and oil for a snack. Honey Glaze Rub r.u.b.s with their Apple Pork Tenderloin recipe and my girls are trying pork loin for the first time without complaint! Guacamole doesn’t stand a chance of lasting past the hour when I’m using their Lime Fresco Sea Salt Flavored s.a.l.t.

If you are looking for an easy way to spice things up for the better in your kitchen I suggest checking out all that s.a.l.t. sisters has to offer. My experience is that your family and your taste buds will thank you for it!

We do a lot of cooking here and a lot of using the grill as well. I would love giving some of these a try to spice up our recipes. Sometimes, things get boring and you just want something different. This sounds like it would do the trick

I’ve never tried a salt blend before, but it seems like a great way to add in additional flavor layers so easily! Really interested in that Key West rub!
