simple lunchbox lunches by MOMables :: review + giveaway

MOMables
You know what happens when you homeschool? There’s no back-up hot lunch waiting if you don’t get a lunch packed in time. And although my children have learned to make their own sandwiches and wraps, sometimes you get tired of the same old same old. In our most Scooby-rific voice, we call that getting into a Runch Rut.

Enter MOMables, a lunch menu subscription service that provides real, fresh, delicious, and easy recipes. Each Friday, an email will pop into your box with a menu for the week, recipes for each item on the menu, time-saving tips for each meal, and a shopping list! The goal for these meals is to be able to provide real food that kids will love but that are also simple to prepare and pack. I might not have to pack our lunches, but doing the prep before hand has saved quite a bit of time during our day. Before using MOMables, I would start getting lunch supplies out around noon. Sometimes I’d make lunch alone; other times the children would help me. Then we eat and then we’d have to clean up. By the time we’d done all that, we’d been in the kitchen for well over an hour. Now with MOMables, I do most of the prep while I’m cooking dinner the night before so there’s only one clean-up!

Not sure if your kids will like these lunches? Even my pickiest eaters have been on board with the lunches we’ve had so far. How could you not like something called Snickers Sushi, Pepperoni Pizza Stackers, or Grilled Pizzawich?

We only ever pack lunches. One thing we do over and over is organic crackers with PB. It’s a favorite 🙂

I don’t have kids lunches to make daily quite yet. but soon, I do also make lunch for my husband so it would be nice to surprise him with some treats as well – especially if a little helper can help me make them 🙂

I pack dd’s lunch every day and we’ve been in a rut since the first week! LOL It doesn’t help that they have 30 minutes to eat and she is a talker so she never finishes what is packed! This would be great because even if I can’t do everything for the day. there has to be at least one or two things she will eat!

I pack lunch 4/5 days of school. We do get stuck in a rut about what to send but that’s mainly because I have such a picky eater. Hoping this would help us out.
