perfect quiches with the PushPan from kuhn rikon :: review

Kuhn Rikon logoAs I sit to type this out my house smells so delicious I can barely stand it! I was just using my new PushPan from Kuhn Rikon to make a quiche using my Grandma’s recipe and it smells soooo good!

PushPan from Kuhn Rikon - better than a springform panNow, you’re probably wondering what a PushPan is exactly.  A PushPan is Kuhn Rikon’s way of making a “no -spring” springform pan and it is genius. Pure genius.

Instead of lining up rings and plates and snapping buckles with a traditional springform pan a PushPan has an inner plate ringed by a a silicone seal.  This makes inserting and removing the plate from the PushPan easy-peasy!

Confession time :: I’ve been wanting to attempt perfectly round quiches, cheesecakes, and other delicious foodstuffs for a while but the thought of a springform pan intimidated me.  Boy am I glad I skipped right to using a PushPan – it is so easy to prep, use, serve, clean and store!

PushPan how to collage 1I’ve been trying the 8 inch pan and think it’s perfectly sized for making things for my smaller family. However, if you have a larger crowd to feed, or just need a larger PushPan, it also comes in a 9 inch and 10 inch version.

Tarts, cheesecakes, cakes, quiches, tortes… I’m even thinking a perfectly formed deep dish pizza could happen in the PushPan. YUM!
