our favorite & affordable backyard pool :: review

affordable swimming poolI cannot even begin to tell you how many summer hours our kids have spent in this pool.  I wanted a safe, large, and affordable pool for the backyard. I purchased it 3 years ago and the opinions expressed in this post are my own. I’ll admit, I wanted it to be big enough for me to get in too! Nothing wrong with mom catching some rays with a good book during nap time. Can’t say it happens often, but it’s great when it does!

The pool is $34 at full price, but it’s almost always on sale through Amazon. I have seen it as low as $18, but I would buy it at full price if I had to. I liked it initially because of the size and the clear sides. The kids were smaller and I couldn’t always see them IN the pool if I was in a lower lawn chair next to the pool. Another great feature is that the bottom is an inflatable cushion of happy fluffiness. We use ours on the cement and the kids can jump and flop around without getting hurt. There is a plug in the bottom as well so you can easily let the water out. If ours gets a little slimy, it cleans up great with a sponge and a good spray from the hose. When we aren’t using it, I drain it and flip it over until the next use and for safety.

Here is a video of the kids enjoying the pool.
