move like an animal at birdie’s playhouse :: review

My kids are obsessed with all things animal related.  Dress up, TV shows, books, random guessing games in the car “I’m an animal that has a big mane, eats meat, and roars… what am I?”

Move Like an Animal CoverWith their love for all things animal I was not the least bit surprised to see how much they enjoyed Move Like an Animal, the new album from Birdie’s Playhouse.

This album is a great blend of Latin beats and catchy animal themed lyrics guaranteed to get your kids up and moving.  My girls were over the moon to hear many of the characteristics about Monarch butterflies in the song “Monarch Butterflies.”

It is fun to watch my girls cha-cha-chaing along with the “Snail Cha Cha,” jamming along to “Hop Hop Hop,”  or pretending to swim the great big sea with “Sea Turtles.”

If Birdie looks or sounds vaguely familiar to you there may be a good reason for that. For years she has performed as Michelle Moreno at weddings, clubs, and around the world as a back-up singer for artists including Ray Charles and Spain’s Raphael.

If you stop on over to the Move Like an Animal webpage you can take a listen to the songs on the album for yourself in both the English and Spanish versions.  Make sure to start following her on Facebook, there’s a great upcoming promo she will be hosting!
