making memories with dolls and chocolate {@american_girl #bittybaby}

american girl logoEarlier this year, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend an event at the American Girl store in downtown Chicago. The funniest thing about it was it was all adult women (ok, maybe a few men).  We all walked through the store, dreaming of what magic it would be to bring our children to this store and experience it themselves.  We looked at all the dolls, all the books, all the accessories…saw the new dolls and saw Molly, who is retiring this year.  When we were done looking around, we went to the American Girl cafe and indulged in some fabulous desserts!

There we sat with some girlfriends and talked and reveled in each others company. It was so relaxing and so perfect.  Isn’t that what the American Girl doll experience is all about after all?  Making memories, using nothing but our imagination and time.  We sat and talked and then awaited the information that we were told we would be the first to know.  Eek! You could cut the anticipation with a knife! 🙂

Like I do, I love sharing with you all…so I took a video during a portion of the event.  If you know anything about American Girl dolls, you probably already know what I wanted to share with you in this post.  It’s regarding the Bitty Baby line…and oh what fun it is!  Take a peek.

That means more options for your kids to pick from.  More options for you to pick from to find the perfect match for your children.  Books to come with the dolls.  Oh how they have made something wonderful even MORE wonderful!

So, what are you waiting for.  Pop on over and see how they have changed…as well as what fabulous-ness has stayed the same.  But do it quietly so your little ones don’t see what you are looking at.  They will want one for sure!! 🙂

    OMG – these dolls are just sooo gorgeous! I really want one (or 2… or 3, LOL!) for my granddaughter! But they’re so expensive…. Great review – you were so lucky!

      I totally can relate to you – I was in LOVE from first site!!! When I first got the exclusive invite, I really did scream a little out loud. What an opportunity to learn and be in that room. It was so memorable. Something I wish I can experience with all of my girls some day…being there with them. EEK!! 🙂
