making memories with dolls and chocolate {@american_girl #bittybaby}

Earlier this year, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend an event at the American Girl store in downtown Chicago. The funniest thing about it was it was all adult women (ok, maybe a few men).  We all walked through the store, dreaming of what magic it would be to bring our children to this store and experience it themselves.  We looked at all the dolls, all the books, all the accessories…saw the new dolls and saw Molly, who is retiring this year.  When we were done looking around, we went to the American Girl cafe and indulged in some fabulous desserts!

There we sat with some girlfriends and talked and reveled in each others company. It was so relaxing and so perfect.  Isn’t that what the American Girl doll experience is all about after all?  Making memories, using nothing but our imagination and time.  We sat and talked and then awaited the information that we were told we would be the first to know.  Eek! You could cut the anticipation with a knife! 🙂
