052911576X.jpg_4Every delivery from Tommy Nelson is special. My son and I have many precious memories of opening a package with a few books from Tommy Nelson. Seeing my son’s eagerness to sit and read each book in its entirety makes this mama heart of mine melt… especially because each book from Tommy Nelson teaches my son godly principals and morals!

Henry Hodges Finds a Friend is one of my son’s new favorites. Each silly pet that Henry Hodges imagines makes my son giggle and of course, what boy doesn’t love finding a playful puppy in the story. As a boy who has his own dog, he can relate to Henry Hodges and his love for his new “friend.” This sweet story is sure to make your child smile, just as it does my little boy!

From the author of The Kid Who Changed the World, this hilarious rhyming story, complete with charming art, offers comfort to children who often feel left out or are in need of a good friend.

At some point, almost every child struggles with feeling like they don’t fit in or are left out—just like Henry Hodges. Henry is a lonely little boy on a lonely little street who longs for a friend. One day, his mother and father take him to a pet rescue shelter and his lonely world is changed! Told in a playful rhyme with adorable illustrations, this book will be a favorite among children and parents who love dogs and, ultimately, will comfort and encourage children who struggle with feeling accepted and finding friends.

Kids will want to read this whimsical and imaginative story again and again!

My daughter and son were married and his parents gave them a German Shepard puppy. 2 yrs later she got pregnant. Since the baby was born this dog stayed by her side. She let Aubs pull and tug on her, and just hang on her. Well Aubs is six now and Soxy is still her best friend. I have 2 Granddaughters and love them both so much.

Our Ozzy has been our beloved pet for nearly 11 years. We got him when my daughter was just 5 and my son was about 2. He has been like a brother to them both, and spends as much time as he can with them. And meets them at the door after school every day!

Our dog was a blessing, he helped my daughter transition to a new house, a new neighborhood, and no new friends. We just lost him and it has been very hard, we miss him so much. He was the best dog ever.

I bought a registered smokey gray Persian kitten. I paid a LOT for him, but he chose me! He was cute, cuddly, and loved people. I had lost my baby, Pug, a black Persian to cancer. My grand daughter came over, saw him, and said “My new kitty!” She hugged me, and said “I love my new kitty”. My heart broke, but she took Smokey home. She needed him, Loved him, and babied him. He taught her to love animals. You see she was alone, her dad left, she was lost. Smokey found his best friend.

We have 3 dogs – 2 German Shepards and a German Shepard mix. The oldest was a rescue. He had been left behind when his owner’s house was raided and was taken in by a neighbor but they had enough dogs and knew hubby wanted a German Shepard. Hubby came home from work one day with him and he’s been here ever since! He was already house broken and is a big bully with the other 2! LOL He is the king and reminds the other 2 all the time – it’s funny to watch! Hes great and has always been great with dd and she loves him!
