With the start of the new year I know there are a lot of us moms who have made resolutions to eat better, exercise more, and make better overall choices for our health. While this is all well and good when we’re at home thinking up New Year’s Resolutions, sometimes the practical application of those good choices can be a little harder to stick with once we are back to our normal routines.
My biggest challenge has been sticking to a healthy diet. As I was brainstorming ways to do this, a friend recently shared a great tip that she had made a decision to always be prepared with a cooler full of healthy snacks. This had worked for her in the past so that she was never tempted by so called convenience items or fast food options.
Taking this tip to heart I decided to find a way to keep some healthy choices with me every time I leave the house without using up an industrial sized supply of plastic baggies. My search led me to ECOlunchbox and I couldn’t be happier with the great ECOlunchbox Oval I’ve been using!
Made out of high-quality, food-grade stainless steel 304 the Oval is a 2 piece set. The large oval lunchbox measures 6.5x5x2 inches and the round stainless steel cup has a 3.5 inch diameter. While the oval has a stainless steel lid, the round cup has a BPA-free #4 LDPE plastic lid which means you can pack “wet” items in the small cup without worrying about leaks.
All pieces except the plastic lid are dishwasher safe, and you can even put the stainless steel containers (NOT THE PLASTIC LID) in the oven at a medium temp to reheat food items. The ECOlunchbox Oval is made out of metal so do not use it in the microwave (you think this would not even need to be said, but… yeah).
Salad and dressing, veggies and dip, sandwiches and pasta salad, breakfast sandwich and applesauce – the list of combinations for what to pack in my ECOlunchbox Oval is endless and I’m glad to lose the temptation of the fast food drive through.

I like the ECOlunchbox Three-in-One, I could definitely use it since my meals usually consist of more that one item, and I don’t like for my food to touch. I like that it all stores inside the biggest container, so that it fits neatly on the shelf, that is a huge plus for me since I don’t have a lot of cabinet space. The ECOdipper is also a great option for me, I work full time and to keep my energy up I like to snack throughout my shift. The size is also perfect so that I can make sure that it remains a snack and not a meal. And these would all carry beautifully inside a ECOlunchbag with reusable napkins! 🙂
