Finding healthy baking options isn’t always easy. I try to keep good healthy ingredients at home like wheat germ, oat bran, and whole wheat flour so that when I do come across a good recipe for a healthy muffin or bread, I am prepared. Most often though, I have to go out and find an ingredient or 2 that I don’t have on hand and my quick attempt to bake healthy turns into baking regular muffins!
I recently discovered Simple Mills. I saw their mixes and figured they’d be a good option, but I can’t believe how much our whole family absolutely loved the muffins and pancakes we tried with their mixes! There are only 7 simple, healthy ingredients in their mixes, and they were so easy to make and are healthy too! Some of the ingredients included are almond flour, organic coconut sugar, and arrowroot.
The banana muffins were a hit with our family. I added walnuts to the mix, and we all ate them up! They were good for dessert and breakfast the following day!
Speaking of breakfast, it is one of our family’s favorite meals. Most weekday mornings we eat oatmeal, so weekends are usually big breakfasts for us! We usually have eggs one day, and pancakes or waffles the other day. We also sneak in a breakfast for dinner meal at least one night a week! I’ve been experimenting with different recipes for waffles and pancakes, trying to swap out white flour for better, healthier options. The pancake mix from Simple Mills was perfect! It was easy to make, and the taste was one of the best pancakes we’ve tried! It is made from almond flour, arrowroot, organic coconut sugar and flour, and a couple other simple ingredients.
I can’t wait to try out their pizza crust, as well as some of their other baking mixes and crackers! I’m always excited to find companies who take pride in giving their customers healthy options for food, while keeping taste a top priority, and Simple Mills is definitely one of these!
I’ve never heard of this brand, but I like more natural products.

I like the Pumpkin Muffins on their site and think that their products look healthy and fun to make. I want to get a couple boxes of their mixes.
I’ve never tried this brand before. I’ll have to look for it next time I’m at the store. My family would really enjoy the banana muffin mix!
