groovebook :: free photo albums for 6 months :: review and giveaway

disclaimer giveaway
groovebook collageI have a ridiculous amount of photos I’ve snapped on my smartphone. I am one of those annoying people on FB that is posting pictures of my kids, meals I’ve prepared (when I actually get a chance to sit and eat), before and after laundry piles, a few selfie’s (heaven help my friends, I’m 32 not 15), and running shoes (when I get a cherished moment to exercise.) You know that annoying person that overtakes your FB feed…that’s ME!

A friend shared with me a fun way to keep those memories in a better place.  It’s called GrooveBook. For $2.99 a month (the cost of shipping) you can upload 40 to 100 pictures and have them delivered to your home. I squeal when I open my mailbox and I see my newest GrooveBook has arrived. It’s a nicely bound 4.5 x 6.5 book with perforated pictures. They also are dated with locations on them so your GREAT, GREAT grandkids can know what was what way back in 2013. You can also pay an additional $2.99 per month to send whoever you want the same book. My Aunt Sandy doesn’t have FB, so she is getting a GrooveBook each month to enjoy the pictures she didn’t see on my feed. It would be a fun treat for grandparents to get a book too. Christmas is coming, I’m sure an elderly loved one would enjoy a monthly album of your photos.

photoI just got my 3rd month of GrooveBooks today. Pictured is my first one (FREE) and then photo albums from  June, July, and August. It’s a very easy to use app. I pick which 40-100 photos I wanted in my albums. If I have a favorite, I go to the advanced options and select a couple of copies to be printed in the album. They are perforated so I can tear out the extras to give to friends or hang on the fridge. GrooveBook reminds me when it’s time to pick my photos too. That way I don’t have to remember when I uploaded my last 100 photos.

Download the app and use code THESIMPLEGROOVE to get your first book absolutely FREE. You will be charged $2.99 per month after the first album if you don’t cancel, but believe me, you won’t want to cancel.

I got married a few years ago…before the digital age. I’d love to do a photo book of my wedding album, so I could enjoy those pictures forever, without worrying about something happening to them!

This would be a great way to compile my digital photos in a printed format. I have tons that I’ve been meaning to get printed but somehow haven’t gotten around to. The photo album format would be great for organizing them AND getting them printed in a single step.

I love this. I take tons of photos, too and I’d have a lot of fun with six months of groove book. Before digital cameras I had tons and tons of printed photos but with the age of digital I’ve honestly not taken the time to print many of my favorites so if I won, I’d start going through and making albums of my favorites first….it’s definitely a service I could see myself keeping past the six months if I win, thanks for the chance t win this fun service!

I like this! Especially now that my son just started kindergarten he has tons of projects that require pictures. Show and share, drama class, and what did you do? He can choose which picture he needs.

I used to be so good at making photo books, now with two kids I’m failing miserably. This would be awesome to make making books easier!

I love Groovebook! I am a beginning photographer and I use it to print out my photos so that I can have a hard copy. Since I do all of my editing on my tablet it makes it easy to print the photos. They do take awhile to get but it’s totally worth it. The quality and price are just to good to beat.

This is a super cool idea. I have so many photos that I never get to see unless I open up an app and I really miss having printed albums. I can see myself being quite addicted to this.

It would be great to print extras of certain photos to share with family & friends. It’s great to have a smart phone with a camera to capture the silly, candid photos of everyday things. To look back later and smile and/or life.
